This cereal snack mix recipe with brown sugar coating is sweet and crunchy.
Heat oven to 250°F. Spray roasting pan with no-stick cooking spray. Place cereal into prepared pan.
Combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt in 3-quart saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat 8-9 minutes or until mixture comes to a boil. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add baking soda; mix well.
Pour syrup mixture over cereal; toss gently until well coated. Bake 40-50 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes, or until coating is set.
Spread mixture onto waxed paper. Cool 10 minutes. Break apart. Store in container with tight-fitting lid.

I was told it should be declared illegal because it is sooo good noone can stop munching it until it is gone. While camping and playing cards everyone called it "cereal crack" . Now my grandchildren have me make it for them to take to school. It is "the perfect thing to munch while studying" Thank you for many really great recipes over the years. Only problem is, when I try something new I have to add it to the list of favorites because there are none i can discard.
I found this recipe inside land o' lakes margarine carton and made it for a group of my sons' friends that were here to watch the super bowl two years ago. since then every time we are having people over to play cards or my son is having company they request it. I wrote this comment because just about five minutes ago a friend of my son said his wife was craving the mix. It is great to serve a crowd and taste "scrumplicious"
Crispy Glazed Snack Mix has been a favorite and popular recipe at every social gathering I've made it for. Comment made frequently, "This is ADDICTING!" Recipe makes plenty and great for gift snack treats.
This is very good. Next time I'm going to add peanuts or pecans. Be aware that the salt isn't in the mixing directions.
My daughter made this and gave us this as a present. It was so good and I have made it four times with added chopped pecans. Just about everyone has asked me for the recipe.
Very good! It made quite a bit more then I thought it would. That is a good thing because who would only eat 1/2 a cup!
I have made this recipe twice and I'm about to make it a 3rd time with a bag of pecans mixed in. I love this recipe!
I made this for a halloween party with seven children and two adults and when the adults picked up the children they tried it also. It was a really big hit and everyone enjoyed it so much. Plus it was easy to make and it made a lot. I can not wait to make it again.
