A cake mix makes these moist and chewy cookies a snap to prepare.
Heat oven to 350°F.
Place nuts onto ungreased 15x10x1-inch baking pan. Bake 7-10 minutes or until lightly toasted.
Combine cake mix, butter, sour cream and egg in bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, 1 minute. Beat at medium speed 1 minute. (The dough will be thick.) Stir in baking chips and toasted macadamia nuts.
Drop dough by level tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 12-14 minutes or until set. Let stand 2 minutes on cookie sheets; remove to cooling rack.

Took these to a club meeting, and they disappeared fast. Even the guys who normally don't like white chocolate were pretty enthusiastic about them. They do have a bit of that "cake mix" taste, so I wouldn't recommend making them for a group of particularly refined palates.
