This traditional chili uses ground turkey and has an interesting blend of herbs and spices.
Melt butter in 5-quart saucepan until sizzling; add ground turkey, onions, green pepper, celery and garlic. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, 12-15 minutes or until meat is browned. Drain off fat.
Stir in all remaining ingredients except cheese. Continue cooking 10-12 minutes or until mixture comes to a full boil. Reduce heat to low. Cook, stirring occasionally, 30-40 minutes or until flavors are blended. Top each serving with cheese triangles.
Dietary Fiber: 9g
Good recipe but, the tomato sauce is too sweet. Best to use tomato paste. I just add some lemon juice to and a beef stock cube to increase the acidity.
This is the best Chili recipe that I have found, I use lean hamburger meat instead of Ground turkey.. I have been using this recipe for at least 5 years.
Love this recipe! We have it and corn bread on Christmas Eve every year! Super easy and everyone LOVES it!

The 2nd. time I made this I used less cumin and added a can of black beans and corn. This has become my favorite chili recipe.
This was absolutely delicious! I added extra onions and green peppers to get in some extra veggies. I also put in a small can of tomato paste to thicken it and used crushed tomatoes instead of diced taking advice from some of the other reviews. Topped it off with extra sharp cheddar and chives. Yummy!
GREAT RECIPE !! Hit with guests for a Big Game. I changed recipe a little...use one can diced tomato & one can stewed tomato (italian style) plus use 8oz tomato paste instead tomato sauce for thicker chili.
I tried this recipe for an everyday meal. I did use 2 lbs hamburger instead of 1 1/2, more onion, and added red bell peppers in addition to the green. I have been looking for a chili recipe like my mother made and this is exactly what I have been looking for; it was excellent. The next time I make it I am going to use crushed tomatoes instead of diced and use more kidney beans if I use more hamburger than the recipe calls for.
This was the best chili I've made in over ten years, yummy!
Finding this recipe was like finding a long lost love...I've tried to find the perfect chilli recipe for years and this is it. My whole family loves it....wouldn't change one thing about it.
We had a Chili contest at work, and the best Chili won $100. I won the $100 with this receipe. I loved it, everyone was shocked because I'm not a cook.
This is amazing. I only used a pound of ground beef in this recipe and felt it was plenty. So good and hearty!
It was a cool day when I made this recipe and served it with the cheesy cornbread recipe and I must say it was delicious
