These hearty nachos are easy to prepare and will be the hit of your party.

1/2 cup salsa
1 (15-ounce) can black beans, rinsed, drained
6 ounces baked tortilla chips
1 cup cooked pork sausage
1 small (1 cup) green or yellow bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 medium tomato, chopped
4 ounces (1 cup) shredded Cheddar cheese
Salsa, if desired
Combine salsa and beans in 1 1/2-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 2-3 minutes or until heated through.
Place chips on large microwave-safe platter. Layer chips with bean mixture, sausage, bell pepper, tomato and cheese. Microwave on MEDIUM (50% power) 4-5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve with salsa, if desired.
Bake your own tortilla chips. Cut 4 (8-inch) flour tortillas into wedges. Bake at 300°F. 5-7 minutes or until light brown. Cool completely. Store in covered container.
