Streusel-Topped Peach Crisp

Fresh peaches are topped with a streusel mixture to make a great old-fashioned dessert.

1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup orange juice
6 medium (4 cups) peaches, peeled, sliced
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour


3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/3 cup cold Land O Lakes® Butter, cut into chunks

Ice Cream

Vanilla ice cream, if desired


Heat oven to 375°F.

Combine all filling ingredients in bowl; toss lightly to coat. Spoon into greased 8-inch square baking pan.

Combine 3/4 cup flour, brown sugar, pecans, cinnamon and nutmeg in bowl; cut in butter with pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle topping mixture over filling. Bake 25-30 minutes or until topping is lightly browned.

Serve warm with ice cream, if desired.

Didn't have orange juice so I used mango nectar. Tasted just fine. Try it, you'll like it.
I also like to use oats in the streusel topping
This recipe is fantastic. My family are peach lovers. The second time I made it for a pot luck at work, I doubled the recipe and baked it in a 9 x 13 baking dish. The doctors I work for had eaten half of it before lunchtime!
