Candy cane desserts that are a crowd-sized recipe and can be served frozen or refrigerated, making it ideal for a holiday dinner.
Heat oven to 325°F.
Combine all crust ingredients in bowl. Press onto bottom of ungreased 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake 10 minutes. Cool completely. Set aside.
Melt chocolate chips and 2/3 cup whipping cream in 1-quart saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally, 4-5 minutes or until smooth. Spread evenly over crust. Place in freezer at least 10 minutes while making filling.
Combine powdered sugar, cream cheese and peppermint extract in bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until smooth and creamy. Gently stir in whipped cream and crushed candies. Spread evenly over ganache layer. Sprinkle with additional crushed candy, if desired. Cover; freeze 4 hours or overnight.
Cut into squares. Top each serving with small candy cane, if desired. Serve frozen or refrigerated. Store frozen.

A Chrstmas favorite. Easy to make, and oh so good.
I recommend using a pre-made crust and candies that are easier to unwrap than mini candy canes for the batter. I loved this though!
This recipe is awesome! I actually added a bit extra peppermint extract. I would suggest to add it to your own personal taste. I tasted the cream cheese mixture until it was "right". The ganache makes this recipe ! will make every Christmas!
I made this recipe and it was very good. The only thing I changed was I omitted the whipping cream and used two 8 oz containers of whipped topping instead tasted great..
It was good but I would add a little less peppermint extract. Also I wasn't sure what chocolate waffer cookies were so I used oreo's.
This recipe is truly a winner and is going to be a holiday favorite of mine for years to come! I received so many compliments on it!!
I made tis for a Christmas party. It was a big hit. One lady licked the platter when they were gone!
