Burgers are a staple summer meal. There are few things that taste better than a burger straight off the grill, smothered with melty cheese. Sometimes, though, you might be feeling a little more adventurous. When ketchup and mustard just aren’t enough, then what??
How about topping a burger with jam? It sounds strange, but tastes delicious. Use the jam recipes from Savory Parmesan Thumbprints as the spread. Try Bacon Balsamic Onion and Tomato Rosemary Onion Jam – both are unexpected, but oh-so-yummy.

Bacon makes just about everything better, including a burger. Combine the classic BLT with an extra slice of cheese and a fried egg. Extra napkins required.

Fruit salsas are also a fun way to mix it up.
