Sweet Corn = Summer

Growing up in Minnesota, my mom would say it was a good corn season when the corn was “knee- high by the 4th of July.” Nothing tastes better than fresh sweet corn slathered with butter in the summer.

Did you know that there are many ways to prepare corn? On the grill, in the microwave, or in a stockpot of boiling water are a few examples.

One of our newest recipe for corn in the Land O’Lakes recipe collection is No-Boil Corn on the Cob. We found that adding a little sugar and milk to the water in the stock pot, bringing it to a boil,  adding the corn, returning it to a boil, and then - the no-boil step - turning off the heat and letting the corn sit for 10 minutes until the kernels turn bright yellow and the corn is tender. Try it! It brings out the sweetness in the corn.
