As our family has grown, so are the families of lots of our friends – it seems to be the year of babies! With this transition comes some adjustment in our meal planning: namely, that we need to start planning ahead! Lately we have been on the hunt for easy-to-prepare meals for ourselves, but also meals that can be prepared in advance and brought over to our friends’ homes when their new baby arrives.
Winter is my time to hibernate. Darkness descends before the workday is done and the snowy, cold nights make me want to stay inside my warm and cozy home. Who wants to put on a down jacket, winter boots, wooly hat and gloves to skid across town for date night at a restaurant? Not I.
I’m a cheese ball enthusiast. Let’s just get that out of the way. Born and raised in Wisconsin, I can’t get enough of cheese, in any form. Cliché, right? In the Midwest, cheese balls are a staple during holiday get-togethers.
Yes, I made a little rhyme with my blog title. I couldn’t help but smile when I wrote it. But then, Cranberry-Pistachio Fudge makes me smile too. Fudge is such a classic holiday candy. Almost every cookie platter or candy dish includes a version of chocolatey deliciousness in the form of fudge.
