Ingredients

1 (20-ounce) bag
Refrigerated hash brown potatoes
4 ounces
LAND O LAKES® 50% RS 50% RS Shredded Cheddar Cheese
4 ounces
Land O Lakes® Extra Melt® Process American Cheese Loaf, Yellow, shredded
1 each
Eggs
1 teaspoon
Kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon
Pepper
8 ounces
Sweet or spicy Italian sausage
6 ounces
Liquid whole egg
2 ounces
Land O Lakes® Butter Sauce Base

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Brush half hotel pan with softened butter. Mix potatoes, 3 ounces of each cheese and salt and pepper together. Lightly beat the egg and add to potatoes.Press mixture onto bottom of pan only. Bake 25 to 30 minutes until bottom starts to crisp.
  2. Meanwhile, cook sausage; drain; spoon over potato crust. Whisk eggs and Butter Sauce Base together. Pour egg mixture over sausage. Bake 10 minutes or until eggs are set.Top with remaining 1 ounce of each cheese and bake until melted, 1 to 2 minutes more.
  3. Cool for 10 minutes before cutting into squares.
