@Posted Jan 19 2009 by FRANKIE It doesn't say to use 3 slices of bread, it says to use 2 slices of bread and 3 slices of cheese! Reading a recipe correctly is 99% of the battle LOL! This is a great easy recipe but we are concerned by the sodium levels. Any way to reduce these???
absolutely the best cheese for a grilled cheese sandwhich smooth creamy mouth-watering delishousness..
A simple variation on this sandwich is (2) slices of LOL Deli American cheese and (1) slice of Swiss cheese in the middle.
When I made this grill cheese sandwich I took a slice of ham & put it between two pieces of cheese, I also did it with slice chicken ( after i cooked the chicken off th bone & used a turkey breast after I cook it & then slice it thin. These are the way I eat grill cheese sandwiches, beside the old fashion way.
Three slices of bread is a bit too much for me. We only use two slices and that's more than enough for us. Nothing better on a cold day than a toasted grilled cheese with a cup of tomato soup!
