This easy and flavorful hot turkey sandwich is rolled up in a tortilla and served burrito-style.

Ingredients

4 (10-inch)
flour tortillas
1/2 cup
barbecue sauce
1/4 pound
thinly sliced deli turkey
4 (3/4-ounce)
*Land O Lakes® Hot Pepper Monterey Jack Cheese, cut in half
1/2 cup
black beans, rinsed, drained
1/2 cup
sliced green onions
2 tablespoons
Land O Lakes® Butter
 
*Substitute 4 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Deli American Cheese.

Directions

  1. Spread each tortilla with 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce. Layer each tortilla with 1/4 turkey, 2 slices cheese, 2 tablespoons black beans and 2 tablespoons green onion; roll up burrito style.
  2. Melt butter in 12-inch skillet until sizzling; add burritos. Cook over medium heat, turning once, 5-6 minutes or until golden brown and heated through.

Rating

These are good for kids or just for finger foods. The first time we made these the barbeque sauce was overpowering. Cut it in half next time and it was just right. I tried bacon and turkey. I prefer the bacon but the turkey is good too. Cheddar is good on here too. These really shold be called Southwest burritos. There is nothing MEXICAN about them.
