Polar Bear Brownies

Ingredients

4 cups sugar 4 cup1
2 cup unsweetened cocoa1 teaspoon vanilla
1
2 teaspoon baking powder1
2 teaspoon baking soda1 1
2 cups all-purpose flourGlaze
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon Land O Lakes® Butter
2 to 3 tablespoons milk
Mini chocolate chips, if desired
*Substitute 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice and enough milk to equal 1 cup. Let stand 5 minutes.
How to make

STEP 1
Heat oven to 350°F. Line 15x10x1-inch baking pan with heavy-duty aluminum foil, extending foil over edges. Spray foil with no-stick cooking spray.

STEP 2
Combine sugar, 3/4 cup butter and cocoa in saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, 5-8 minutes or until melted.

Remove from heat. Cool 5 minutes. Add 1 egg at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add vanilla, baking powder and baking soda; mix well. Alternately add flour and buttermilk, mixing well after each addition.

Spread batter into prepared pan. Bake 20-22 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely.

Lift brownies out of pan using foil. Cut brownies with 2 1/2- to 3-inch bear cookie cutter.

Combine powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon butter and enough milk for desired glazing consistency in bowl. Glaze top of cut-out brownies. Garnish with chocolate chip for eye, if desired.
