Ingredients

Pastry

Single-crust unbaked 9-inch pie pastry

Filling

3/4 cup
Land O Lakes® Butter, melted
4
large Land O Lakes® Eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups
sugar
2 teaspoons
cornmeal
1/4 teaspoon
salt
4 teaspoons
Land O Lakes® Heavy Whipping Cream
1 teaspoon
vanilla

Garnish

Land O Lakes® Heavy Whipping Cream, whipped, if desired
Pecan halves, if desired

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Place pastry into 9-inch pie pan. Crimp or flute edge of pastry; set aside.
  3. Combine all filling ingredients in bowl. Stir until well mixed.
  4. Pour filling into prepared pastry. Bake 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely.
  5. Top each serving with whipped cream, if desired. Garnish with pecan halves, if desired.

I was wondering if the cornmeal mentioned was really meant to be corn starch, instead?
