Ingredients

Crust

2 cups
all-purpose flour
1/4 cup
sugar
1/2 teaspoon
salt
3/4 cup
cold Land O Lakes® Butter
6 to 8 tablespoons
cold water

Filling

6 medium (3 cups)
ripe plums, pitted, sliced 1/8-inch
1/2 cup
firmly packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon
orange juice
1/2 to 1 teaspoon
freshly grated orange zest
 
Powdered sugar, if desired

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F. 
  2. Combine flour, sugar and salt in bowl; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Mix in water with fork until flour is just moistened.
  3. Press or roll pastry into 14-inch circle onto ungreased baking sheet. Shape into 10-inch circle by forming 2-inch rim around outside edge; loosely crimp edge. Prick bottom of pastry with fork. Bake 15 minutes.
  4. Arrange plums in pinwheel fashion on pastry. Stir together brown sugar, orange juice and orange zest in bowl; spread evenly over plums. Continue baking 22-27 minutes or until pastry is golden brown.
  5. Sprinkle with powdered sugar just before serving, if desired.
