Ingredients

Bean Layer

1 (15-ounce) can refried beans

2 tablespoons pureed chipotle chile peppers in adobo

1 tablespoon lime juice

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Queso Layer

4 ounces (1 cup) Land O Lakes® Yellow Deli American, chopped

4 ounces (1 cup) Land O Lakes® Mexican Blend Farmstyle Cut Shredded Cheese

1/2 cup water

1 tablespoon pureed chipotle chile peppers in adobo

 

2 large (about 1 1/2 cups) ripe avocados, pitted, peeled, diced

1 teaspoon lime juice

1/2 cup thick and chunky salsa, drained

1/3 cup sour cream

1/4 cup sliced pickled jalapeño chile peppers, drained

1/4 cup sliced green onions

2 tablespoons coarsely chopped fresh cilantro

Tortilla chips, as desired

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Stir together all bean layer ingredients in microwave-safe bowl; microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until hot.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine all queso ingredients in separate microwave-safe bowl; microwave in 30-second intervals, whisking between each, until melted and smooth.

  3. STEP 3

    Toss avocados with 1 teaspoon lime juice.

  4. STEP 4

    Spread bean mixture evenly into 9-inch square baking dish; spread queso over bean mixture. Layer with avocados, salsa, sour cream, jalapeños, green onions and cilantro. Serve with chips.
