Ingredients
14 cup reduced-sodium vegetable broth
3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
16 (8 tablespoons) cold Land O Lakes® Butter Balls
How to make
-
STEP 1
Combine broth and garlic in 1 1/2-quart saucepan; bring to a boil over high heat.
-
STEP 2
Reduce heat to low; add Butter Balls, 4 at a time, whisking after each addition until butter is melted before adding more. Serve immediately.
Tip #1
Adding the butter with a fork or other utensil will help keep the butter cold and prevent the sauce from breaking.
Tip #2
Leftovers can be reheated in the microwave or on the stovetop, but are best used as garlic butter instead of a thickened sauce. Brush it on crostini or use it to coat vegetables or meats before grilling.
Tip #3
You can replace the vegetable stock with chicken or beef broth, or even water.
Tip #4
Instead of garlic, use other aromatics, such as finely chopped shallots or thinly sliced green onions.
