Learn How it Works...
16 cups popped popcorn
8 ounces small red and green gumdrops
1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter
1 (10- to 10.5-ounce) bag marshmallows
4 to 6 drops green food color, if desired
Red and green fruit leather
Red gumdrops
STEP 1
Butter 10-inch Bundt® or angel food cake (tube) pan; set aside. Place popcorn and gumdrops in large roasting pan; set aside.
STEP 2
Combine butter and marshmallows in 4-quart saucepan. Cook, stirring frequently, over low heat until marshmallows have melted and mixture is smooth. Add green food color; stir until well mixed. Pour over popcorn-gumdrop mixture in pan; mix well to coat.
STEP 3
Press popcorn mixture, using buttered fingers or wooden spoon, into prepared pan until even with edges of pan. Let cool 15 minutes; remove from pan, using spatula if needed to release sides. Place onto serving plate.
STEP 4
Create bow with red fruit leather and holly leaves with green fruit leather. Use red gumdrops for berries. Gently press decorations onto popcorn wreath.
Variation: Popcorn Balls: Shape popcorn and gumdrop mixture into popcorn balls.
Place butter and marshmallows in bowl; microwave 3 minutes. Stir well. Continue microwaving at 15 second intervals, stirring well, until smooth.
