There’s nothing better than baking up some delicious breads and muffins to share with friends and family over steaming cups of coffee or hot chocolate. If you’re looking for a way to “punch up” your brunch menu, making simple flavored spreads is a great way to wow your guests. All of these spreads start with Fresh Buttery Taste® Spread, and go easy on fat and cholesterol without compromising flavor. Simply start with 1/2 cup of Fresh Buttery Taste® Spread and mix in the listed ingredients to achieve a delicious flavored spread.

Flavored Spread Start with 1/2 cup of Fresh Buttery Taste® Spread and stir in: Serve with:
Strawberry 1/4 cup strawberry preserves
1/4 cup of powdered sugar
Favorite Banana Bread
Orange Cinnamon 1 teaspoon freshly grated orange peel
1 tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Glazed Pear Bread
Almond Peach 2 tablespoons peach preserves
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
Almond Peach Yogurt Muffins
Parsley-Herb 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon chopped green onion
1/8 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
Cheddar Scones
Honey Pecan 1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons chopped pecans
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
french toast
Pecan French Toast
Lemon Mint 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon chopped fresh mint
1 tablespoon sugar
Sparkling Blueberry Muffins

For a creative presentation, try piping these spreads through a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe onto waxed paper, and refrigerate until firm and ready to serve.
