Italian Recipes That Bring A Taste of Italy to America

Or maybe I should say a taste of Italy in American, as in American cheese. The newest member of our deli cheese family is 4 Cheese Italian Blend. It takes flavorful Asiago, Parmesan and Romano cheeses and blends them perfectly with our creamy American. The result is the best of both worlds!

Italian Sub

4 Cheese Italian Blend has added a lot of fun to the test kitchen recipe development process. The authentic Italian flavor provides inspiration for new and updated recipes. It is great to be able to have a single ingredient that brings so much flavor to everything from traditional Italian Subs to kid-pleasing Pepperoni Pizzadillas and family-friendly Cheesy Alfredo with Chicken and Broccoli. Did I mention this cheese tastes great on its own? I can’t tell you how many times I have grabbed a slice for a quick afternoon snack. Kids love the flavor, too — both alone and in grilled cheese sandwiches. Try this fun Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese to get the kids to the dinner table fast.

Can you cook with this 4 blend italian? In place of mozzarella and parmesan in an eggplant lasagna recipe?

Hi Beth! You definitely can use the 4 Cheese Italian Blend in lasagna. Just layer the cheese slices over every layer of eggplant, and it will melt like shredded cheese. Hope this helps!

I am considering using the 4 cheese blend in my Mac and cheese recipe. I typically use sharp cheddar, sharp American, and Parmesan. So I would use the 4 cheese blend and the shard cheddar. Any thoughts on how it will turn out?

We love the flavour of the 4 cheese Italian cheese but it's not available in Canada. We are in Florida for the winter and were thinking of possibly buying a whole block to take home with us. My concern is how to store it once it has been opened without becoming moldy or drying out.

Hi Eva, cheese should be refrigerated at 35 to 40 degrees F (1.6 to 4.4 degrees C). Once the cheese has been opened, it is best when used within 5-7 days. It is important to rewrap it securely once it has been opened. Airtight plastic wrap, a resealable plastic food bag or aluminum foil works well to retain the moisture and flavor of cheese. We do not recommend freezing our cheese because it changes the texture of the cheese usually resulting in the cheese being crumbly. However, if cheese has been frozen, thaw the cheese in the refrigerator. Frozen cheese is best used in recipes such as omelets, casseroles, sandwich melts etc. Hope this helps!

Hi Beverly, Many factors affect the availability of a product at any given time, such as consumer demand, distribution channels, and ultimately the retailer's choice of which products to stock. If you do not see an item you would like to purchase, we suggest asking the store or dairy manager to order it for you. Please visit our website online product locator: or contact our Consumer Affairs Dept. at 1-800-328-4155 or through the “Contact Us” page on the website with your zip code and they would be happy to check on the distribution of Four Cheese Italian in your area.

Please consider packaging the 4 cheese Italian in block or presliced 3 pound packages. The wait time at the deli counter in BJ's is outrageous!

Good Morning, I love this new 4 cheese Italian blend deli cheese. We are only able to purchase it @ BJ's Wholesale Club. It is so delicious in so many recipes. I am looking for the nutritional information for this product such as the calories per serving, etc. on the label. I just joined Weight Watchers, and am trying to do a food log of what I've eaten. I need to enter the nutritional information in order to track my Points on the plan. Thank you for your assistance in this matter and especially for the wonderfully, delicious product! Sincerely, Maria

I've been buying the 4 cheese blend for several months. It is fantastic! When my cousin visited from Florida recently, I served it to her and she is hooked. Unfortunately, she hasn't been able to find it in Florida. I may have to ship her some soon.

Saw the 4 Cheese Italian Blend at my local deli counter recently and decided to try an entire pound. I was hooked immediately, and just bought my 2nd pound in as many weeks. I'm a cheese lover and can honestly say this is a very flavorful cheese, great by itself, or on sandwiches or wraps...great on burgers. It's so good I have to force myself to put it back in the refrigerator. The recent coupon promotion is a bonus!

Hello! I am a cheese- lover, and this cheese is by far my favorite of ANY , including the expensive imported cheeses! I hope my local grocery store will continue to carry it as we are fully devoted to this cheese - it has already become a staple item in our home. I haven't even treid it in any recipes yet, we are enjoying it in sandwiches, with crackers, and yes, even by itself! Mmmmmm!
