Warm Balsamic Green Beans



1/2 cup slivered almonds

1 tablespoon Land O Lakes® Butter with Olive Oil & Sea Salt

1 tablespoon sugar


3 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter with Olive Oil & Sea Salt

1/4 cup chopped onion

2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh garlic

1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed, cut in half

1 medium (1 cup) red bell pepper, chopped

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Place all topping ingredients into 8-inch nonstick skillet. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium-low heat 7-10 minutes or until almonds are golden and caramelized. Immediately remove from heat; spread onto waxed paper to cool.

  2. STEP 2

    Melt 3 tablespoons Butter with Olive Oil & Sea Salt in 12-inch skillet over medium heat until sizzling; add onion and garlic. Cook 3-5 minutes or until onion begins to soften. Add green beans, red bell pepper, salt and pepper. Continue cooking 5 minutes. Cover; cook 8-10 minutes or until beans are crisply tender. Add honey and vinegar; continue cooking 2-3 minutes or until sauce thickens and beans are well coated.

  3. STEP 3

    Place beans into serving bowl; top with caramelized almonds.
