Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars

1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened

1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt


3/4 cup corn syrup

3/4 cup granulated sugar

4 large Land O Lakes® Eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 (11.5-ounce) package (1 3/4 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chunks

1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped pecans

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 13x9-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine butter and brown sugar in bowl; beat at medium speed until creamy. Add flour and salt; beat at low speed until crumbly. Press into prepared pan.

  3. STEP 3

    Bake 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned.

  4. STEP 4

    Combine corn syrup, granulated sugar, eggs and vanilla in bowl; whisk until blended. Stir in chocolate chunks and pecans.

  5. STEP 5

    Pour corn syrup mixture evenly over hot, partially baked crust. Continue baking 33-38 minutes or until filling is set and top is deep golden brown. Cool completely before cutting. Store covered and refrigerated.

Tip #1

Avoid underbaked filling by double-checking your oven temperature with an inexpensive oven thermometer. Perfectly baked bars are rich and deep golden brown in color.
