Sausage and Pepper Pizza

Cornmeal, for dusting parchment

1 (12-ounce) ball pizza dough

1/2 cup pizza sauce

8 ounces (2 cups) Land O Lakes® Mozzarella Farmstyle Cut Shredded Cheese

1/3 cup thinly sliced red onion

8 ounces Italian sausage, cooked, drained, cooled, crumbled

1/2 cup pepperoncini peppers, drained

1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 500°F. Line large baking sheet with parchment paper; dust parchment with cornmeal.

  2. STEP 2

    Stretch pizza dough to 12-inch circle on prepared baking sheet. Spread pizza sauce evenly over dough, leaving 1/2-inch border. Top with 1 cup mozzarella cheese, red onion, sausage, pepperoncini and remaining mozzarella.

  3. STEP 3

    Bake 10-12 minutes or until edge of crust is deep golden brown and cheese is melted and beginning to brown in spots. Sprinkle evenly with Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.

Tip #1

Sprinkle freshly baked pizza with chopped fresh basil or parsley for extra flavor.

Tip #2

For a crisper bottom crust, bake on a pizza stone or wire mesh screen.
