Ingredients
8 frozen waffles
1 Land O Lakes® Maple Brown Sugar Butter Spread
4 cup1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
4 thin slices (3 ounces) deli ham
4 ounces (1 cup) Land O Lakes® Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese Chunk, shredded
2 (1 tablespoon) Land O Lakes® Butter Balls
Salt and pepper, to taste
How to make
-
STEP 1
Heat oven to 450°F.
-
STEP 2
Arrange frozen waffles in single layer on parchment-lined sheet pan.
-
STEP 3
Combine Maple Brown Sugar Butter Spread and Dijon mustard in bowl; mix well. Set aside.
-
STEP 4
Bake waffles 7 minutes or until just starting to toast. Remove from oven; flip waffles over. Top each of 4 waffles with 1 slice ham and 1 ounce shredded cheese. Spread remaining 4 waffles with 1 tablespoon maple butter mixture. Return to oven; bake 3-4 minutes or until cheese is melted and waffles are toasted.
-
STEP 5
Meanwhile, heat medium skillet over medium heat; add Butter Balls. Cook until melted. Combine eggs, small amount of water, salt and pepper in bowl; whisk to blend. Pour eggs into hot skillet; cook, stirring gently and lifting edges of eggs, until just set. Using spatula, divide egg mixture into 4 equal pieces in pan.
-
STEP 6
Place one-fourth egg on each ham-and-cheese topped waffle. Top with remaining waffles, butter-side down. Serve hot.
Tip #1
Land O Lakes® Honey Butter Spread is an equally delicious option for this sandwich.
Tip #2
This recipe is easily doubled–just use a second sheet pan to hold 8 more waffles.
Tip #3
These can also be frozen for a grab-and-go breakfast: Let sandwiches fully cool before tightly wrapping in parchment paper and foil; freeze. To reheat, remove foil and heat in parchment for 60-90 seconds in the microwave on full power until hot (165°F), flipping sandwich between intervals.
