French bread, 1-inch cubed
8 ounces
Land O Lakes® Extra Melt® Process American Cheese Loaf, White, shredded
5 ounces (1 1/4 cups)
Zucchini, shredded
3 ounces (1 cup)
Red bell pepper , cut into 1/4-inch strips
1 ounce
Green onions, chopped
1 pound
Italian diced tomatoes, drained
16 ounces (2 cups)
*Land O Lakes® Cream Sauce Base
11 ounces (7 eggs)
Pasteurized liquid whole egg product or large eggs
To taste
Kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper
*Can substitute LAND O LAKES® Butter Sauce base


  1. Spray half hotel pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Place bread cubes in bottom of prepared pan; top with 1 cup Extra Melt Cheese, zucchini, bell pepper, green onions and tomatoes.
  3. Combine Cream Sauce Base or Butter Sauce Base, eggs, salt and pepper in bowl; whisk until smooth. Pour mixture over ingredients in pan. Cover; refrigerate 8 hours or over night.
  4. Heat oven to 350ºF.  Let strata sit at room temperature while oven is heating. Uncover; bake 45 to 50 minutes. Top with remaining cheese. Continue baking for 15 to 20 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
