Ingredients

Candy

1/3 cup
Land O Lakes® Butter
2 cups
slivered almonds
1/3 cup
sugar
2 tablespoons
light corn syrup

Stir In

1/2 cup
chopped red and green candied cherries

Directions

  1. Line large baking sheet with waxed paper; set aside.
  2. Melt butter in 10- or 12-inch skillet until sizzling; add almonds, sugar and corn syrup. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly with wooden spoon, 4-9 minutes or until sugar and nuts are golden brown. (Watch closely to prevent burning.) Immediately remove from heat; stir in cherries.
  3. Working quickly, drop by level teaspoonfuls onto prepared baking sheet. Refrigerate 45 minutes or until firm. Place individual clusters in paper candy cups or on squares of colored foil. Store in container with tight-fitting lid at room temperature.

Eager to try it & substituted citron for cherries & pecans for almonds--added more of the candy-part to hold the pecan chips, but oh, so luscious!!!!

A friend of my parents can't have anything with flour. So it good for anybody how can't have flour. and they are very tasty too
