Butter Pecan Brownies

Ingredients

1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter

2 cups firmly packed brown sugar

2 large Land O Lakes® Eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup chopped pecans

 

Powdered sugar

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 350°F.

  2. STEP 2

    Melt butter in 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Add brown sugar; mix well. Cool 10 minutes. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Add flour and salt; mix well. Stir in pecans.

  3. STEP 3

    Spread batter into ungreased 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake 22-27 minutes or until set. Cool completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

These are a regular treat in my home of pecan fans. I toast the nuts before adding to enrich the flavor. We love the chewy texture and top them with vanilla or caramel ice cream. Yum.

I have made these two times. I am the only one who will eat them. The husband and kids don't like them- too bland. I happen to enjoy a plain butter-cookie type treat. You cannot over cook them or they will harden and dry out quickly. Best to shorten the time.
