1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup chili sauce
4 slices cooked bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
2 tablespoons country-style Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
Heat oven to 325°F.
Combine all ingredients in ungreased 2-quart casserole. Bake, stirring occasionally, 1 1/2- 2 hours or until slightly thickened.

This is quite a good "doctored" baked bean recipe. Simple, quick and delicious for a cookout. I used a brand of baked beans that were not too sweet even with the brown sugar added. I doubled the bacon and it was perfect. On the menu for the 4th tomorrow!
