Ingredients

Nuts

1/2 cup
coarsely chopped pecans
1/4 cup
sugar
1 tablespoons
Land O Lakes® Butter

Ice Cream

3 cups
Land O Lakes® Fat Free Half & Half
1 1/2 cups
sour cream
1 cup
sugar
1/4 cup
cherry preserves
1 tablespoon
vanilla
1 cup
pitted quartered dark sweet cherries*
 
*Substitute 1 (16 1/2-ounce) can sour cherries, drained, chopped.

Directions

  1. Combine pecans, 1/4 cup sugar and butter in heavy saucepan or skillet. Cook, stirring constantly,over medium heat 4-5 minutes or until sugar turns golden. Pour onto heavy-duty aluminum foil. Cool completely. Break into pieces.
  2. Combine all ice cream ingredients except cherries in bowl; stir until sugar dissolves. Stir in pecans and cherries. Pour into ice cream freezer. Freeze according to manufacturer’s directions.
