This is the perfect frosting for German chocolate cake.

Ingredients

3/4 cup
sugar
1/4 cup
Land O Lakes® Butter
1 (5-ounce) can (2/3 cup)
evaporated milk
1
large Land O Lakes® Egg, slightly beaten
1 1/4 cups
sweetened flaked coconut
1/2 cup
chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Combine sugar, butter, evaporated milk and egg in 2-quart saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat until thickened and bubbly (6 to 8 minutes). Stir in coconut and pecans. Cool about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until spreadable.
