Ingredients

1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 pound (8 slices) bacon

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 450°F. Line bottom of broiler pan with aluminum foil; spray top lightly with no stick cooking spray.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in small bowl. Coat bacon slices with brown sugar mixture.

  3. STEP 3

    Place coated bacon onto prepared pan. Bake 12-15 minutes or until well-browned.

Tip #1

To Make Ahead: Prepare bacon as directed above. Place cooked bacon onto microwave-safe plate. Refrigerate until serving time. To reheat bacon, microwave 30-45 seconds.

I use a large ziploc bag to basically shake and bake the bacon. Be careful with the oven temp and cook times... we don't always buy the same brand of bacon and some brands cook much faster than other brands depending on how thick/thin the slices are. Instead of cinnamon, often we'll use cracked black pepper with the brown sugar.
