12 (5x2 1/2-inch) (2 cups) finely crushed chocolate graham crackers
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup finely chopped almonds
1/4 cup Land O Lakes® Butter melted
1/4 cup amaretto
Decorator sugar, as desired
*Substitute 1 tablespoon almond extract and 3 tablespoons water.
Combine all ingredients except decorator sugar in large bowl until well mixed. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls; roll in decorator sugar.
Place onto waxed paper-lined baking sheet. Cover; refrigerate 1 hour. Store refrigerated in covered container.
Roll again in additional sugar before serving, if desired.

I have this recipe in an old Land O'Lakes recipe book, except it is called "fudgy" instead of "chocolate." I started making it, and realized there is nothing in the recipe to make it fudgy, so I searched for a corrected recipe. I read the list of ingredients several times and don't see any chocolate in this one, either! What am I missing? I followed the recipe, but ended up with a mixture that just looks like graham crackers and tastes sweet and almond-flavored.
