Ingredients

1 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened

1 cup sugar

1 large Land O Lakes® Egg

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 cup mini real semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/4 cup sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

How to make

  1. STEP 1

Combine butter and 1 cup sugar in bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add egg, milk and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed. Add flour, baking powder and 1 teaspoon cinnamon; beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chips.

  2. STEP 2

Divide dough in half; shape each half into 8-inch log.

  3. STEP 3

Combine 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in bowl. Spread sugar mixture onto waxed paper. Roll each log in sugar mixture until outside is well coated; wrap each in plastic food wrap. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.

  4. STEP 4

    Heat oven to 375°F.

  5. STEP 5

Cut logs into 1/4-inch slices using sharp knife. Place, 1 inch apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges are firm and bottoms are lightly browned. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheets; remove to cooling rack.

Tip #1

- To help keep cookies round in shape, rotate the log frequently when cutting the slices.

Tip #2

- For smaller cookies, divide dough into fourths; shape each forth into 8-inch long. Continue as directed. 54 cookies
