Ingredients

Filling

1/2 cup
firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup
chopped walnuts
1 1/2 teaspoons
ground cinnamon

Coffee Cake

1 1/2 cups
sugar
3/4 cup
Land O Lakes® Butter, softened
3
large Land O Lakes® Eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons
vanilla
3 cups
all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups
sour cream
1 1/2 teaspoons
baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons
baking soda
3/4 teaspoon
salt

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease and flour 12-cup Bundt® pan or 10-inch tube pan; set aside.
  2. Combine all filling ingredients in bowl. Set aside.
  3. Combine sugar, butter, eggs and vanilla in another bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add all remaining coffee cake ingredients; beat at low speed until well mixed.
  4. Spread 1/3 batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle with half filling mixture. Repeat with batter and filling mixture. Spread remaining 1/3 batter over filling.
  5. Bake 55-65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan.

This coffee cake was delicious! I skipped the nuts and found the cake to be really moist and the perfect amount of cinnamon flavor. When it was finished, I sprinkled mine with a little white sugar for a polished look - it would be great for a brunch party!

This was awesome. I used toasted almonds because I didn't have any walnuts. My husband said it looked just like the picture and my young son said I make the best coffee cake in the world. How is that for a review.
