2 cups strawberry ice cream
1/4 cup Land O Lakes® Butter
1 cup real semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons milk
Land O Lakes® Heavy Whipping Cream, sweetened, whipped
Fresh strawberries
*Substitute 2 cups of your favorite flavor ice cream.
STEP 1
Line baking sheet with aluminum foil; place into freezer 10 minutes.
STEP 2
Scoop 6 (1/3 cup) ice cream balls; place onto prepared baking sheet. Freeze 2-3 hours or until very firm.
STEP 3
Place butter and chocolate chips in 1-quart saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, 4-5 minutes or until smooth. Stir in milk; cool to room temperature.
STEP 4
Working quickly with 1 ice cream ball at a time, lift frozen ice cream balls from baking sheet with large spoon. Hold over melted chocolate; spoon chocolate over ice cream ball evenly coating all sides. Carefully slide ice cream ball from spoon back onto cookie sheet. Return to freezer at least 1 hour or until ready to serve.
STEP 5
Place ice cream bon bons on individual dessert plates; garnish with whipped cream and strawberries.
- If ice cream becomes too soft while coating, return to freezer.
