Ingredients

Crust

1 1/2 cups
graham cracker crumbs
1/3 cup
powdered sugar
1/3 cup
Land O Lakes® Butter, melted

Filling

2 cups
sweetened flaked coconut
1 (14-ounce) can
sweetened condensed milk
6 (1.45-ounce)
chocolate candy bars with almonds

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Combine all crust ingredients in medium bowl. Press onto bottom of ungreased 13x9 inch baking pan. Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are very lightly browned.
  2. Meanwhile, combine coconut and sweetened condensed milk in medium bowl. Pour over hot, partially baked crust. Continue baking for 15 to 20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and center is set.
  3. Place candy bars on top of baked filling to cover entire surface. Continue baking for 3 to 4 minutes or until chocolate is melted. Spread chocolate over bars. Cool completely until chocolate is set. Cut into squares.

Rating

Next time will skip the candy bar and use milk chocolate and chopped almonds. Can make it without artificial ingredients. It will be easier to spread. Everyone loves them.

The recipe shows "candy bars" but does not include how to use the bars. Melt & spread on top? put on top and melt in the oven? ? ?
