Warm, sweet and chocolatey, these waffles are a real treat -- especially with a scoop of frozen yogurt and strawberries.

3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup Land O Lakes® Butter melted
1 large Land O Lakes® Egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups lowfat vanilla frozen yogurt or ice milk
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
Powdered sugar, if desired
Heat waffle iron to medium-high heat.
Combine flour, sugar, cocoa and baking powder in bowl; set aside.
Combine sour cream, milk, butter, egg and vanilla in another bowl; beat until smooth. Add flour mixture; mix well.
Pour batter onto waffle iron according to waffle iron directions. Bake 3-4 minutes or until lightly browned.
Place waffles onto individual dessert plates. Top with scoops of frozen yogurt and strawberries. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
Waffle batter can be made into pancakes.

I made these for a late breakfast; these waffles are definitely a desert waffle. They were great with whipped cream, also good with just a little butter, but were way to sweet with syrup! The were very soft when I went to remove them from the waffle iron but seemed to firm up slightly once they began to cool. I would make them again as more of a snack or treat rather than for breakfast.
