2/3 cup sour cream
1/3 cup mayonnaise
2 medium (2 cups) apples, cubed 1/2 inch
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries
1/2 cup seedless green grapes, halved
1 rib (1/2 cup) celery, chopped
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Combine sour cream and mayonnaise in bowl; set aside.
Place apples and lemon juice in bowl; gently toss. Add all remaining salad ingredients. Add dressing; toss to coat. Cover; refrigerate 1 hour before serving.

I added 1/2 tsp. maple extract to the dressing ingredients. Also used low fat mayo and sour cream.
To lighten the fat content I use yogurt (plain - the greek type tastes best) and fat free mayonaise. Serve withing 1 day or the recipe begins to water.
