Crisp Cheddar Wafers

1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened

6 ounces (1 1/2 cups ) shredded Cheddar cheese

3 tablespoons water

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/8 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

3/4 cup uncooked quick-cooking oats

3 slices bacon, crisply cooked, crumbled

Grated Parmesan cheese

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Combine butter, Cheddar cheese, water, Worcestershire sauce and salt in bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed. Add flour, oats and bacon; mix well.

  2. STEP 2

    Shape into 12-inch roll on plastic food wrap. Wrap; refrigerate 4 hours, until firm.

  3. STEP 3

    Heat oven to 400°F.

    Cut roll into 1/4-inch slices with sharp knife. Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Sprinkle tops lightly with Parmesan cheese.

  5. STEP 5

    Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately remove to cooling racks; cool slightly. These wafers are best when served while slightly warm.

Dough can be made ahead and refrigerated for 1 week or frozen up to 3 months.
