Curry Mixture*

1 1/4 teaspoons ground coriander

1 teaspoons ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric

1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

1/8 teaspoon ground ginger

1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper

1/8 teaspoon pepper


1/4 cup lemon juice

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1 tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic


 *Substitute 4 teaspoons purchased ground curry powder.

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Combine all curry mixture ingredients in 10-inch skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, 2 minutes. Do not burn. Remove from heat; let cool 5 minutes.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine curry mixture and all marinade ingredients in medium bowl; mix well. Use to marinate 2 pounds chicken, pork or beef.
