Ingredients

1 1/4 cups
all-purpose flour
3/4 cup
dried cherries, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup
white chocolate chips
1/4 cup
sugar
2 teaspoons
baking powder
1/4 teaspoon
salt
1/4 cup
Land O Lakes® Heavy Whipping Cream
1/4 cup
Land O Lakes® Butter, melted
1/4 cup
milk
1
large Land O Lakes® Egg, slightly beaten
 
Coarse grain sugar, if desired

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F. Line large baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
  2. Combine flour, cherries, chocolate chips, sugar, baking powder and salt in bowl. Add whipping cream, butter, milk and beaten egg; stir until well mixed.
  3. Drop dough by heaping 1/3 cupfuls onto prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle tops with coarse grain sugar, if desired. Bake 12-14 minutes or until tops are golden brown.

Hi Judy, since you used fresh blueberries, the water content probably made the scones spread out. You could try tossing the blueberries in flour first. If you add more flour, the scones would be too tough. Hope this helps! Happy baking!

Love these scones make them frequently. I do have a question I tried making them with real blueberries but the turned out flat instead of like scone. How much more flour would I need to keep the batter more scone consistency?
