2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Extra Creamy Butter
1 medium (1 cup) apple, finely chopped
1 small (1/2 cup) white onion, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
2 ounces (1/2 cup) blue cheese crumbles
Assorted fresh vegetables, such as carrot sticks, cauliflower florets and/or red bell pepper strips
Melt butter in 10-inch skillet over medium heat until sizzling. Add apple, onion, salt and pepper; cook, stirring occasionally, 10-15 minutes or until onions are golden and caramelized. Place mixture into bowl; set aside.
Combine cream cheese and sour cream in another bowl; beat at medium speed until smooth. Add bleu cheese and apple-onion mixture; mix well. Refrigerate at least 2 hours.
Allow spread to come to room temperature prior to serving. Serve with crackers or assorted vegetables.
