Ingredients

2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter

1 small (1/2 cup) onion, sliced

1 small (1/2 cup) red bell pepper , sliced

1 small (1/2 cup) green bell pepper, sliced

2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh garlic

1/2 pound sliced deli roast beef, cut into strips

1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 (4- to 4.4-ounce) pre-baked Naan flatbreads  

6 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Hot Pepper Monterey Jack Cheese, each cut into strips

 

Chopped fresh cilantro, if desired

 

 *Substitute 3 (3- to 3.5-ounce) Naan flatbreads.

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white. Place coals to 1 side in charcoal grill.

  2. STEP 2

    Melt butter in 10-inch no-stick skillet over medium high heat until sizzling; add onion, peppers and garlic. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, 4-6 minutes or until vegetables are crisply tender. Stir in beef strips, chili powder, cumin and salt. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, 1-2 minutes or until mixture is heated through.

  3. STEP 3

    Divide meat mixture evenly among breads. Top with cheese strips and cilantro, if desired.

  4. STEP 4

    Turn off 1 side of gas grill.

  5. STEP 5

    Place pizzas onto unheated side. Close lid; grill 9 minutes or until cheese is melted and pizza is heated through.

Tip #1

- One tablespoon fajita seasoning may be used in place of chili powder, cumin and salt.

Tip #2

- Naan bread is a lightly leavened East Indian flatbread. It comes in different sizes and can be found in the bakery or deli section of the supermarket.

Tip #3

- To bake in oven, heat oven to 425°F. Melt butter in 10-inch no-stick skillet over medium high heat until sizzling; add onion, peppers and garlic. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, 4-6 minutes or until vegetables are crisply tender. Stir in beef strips, chili powder, cumin and salt. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, 1-2 minutes or until mixture is heated through. Place flatbreads on large ungreased baking sheet. Divide meat mixture evenly among breads. Top with cheese strips and cilantro, if desired. Bake 7-9 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
