Ingredients

1 (3.25-ounce) jar (2/3 cup)
macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped
1 (15.25- to 18.5-ounce) package
chocolate fudge or devil's food cake mix
1/3 cup
Land O Lakes® Butter, melted
1/4 cup
sour cream
1
large Land O Lakes® Egg
1 cup
white baking chips or coarsely chopped white chocolate candy bar

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Place nuts onto ungreased 15x10x1-inch baking pan. Bake 7-10 minutes or until lightly toasted.
  3. Combine cake mix, butter, sour cream and egg in bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, 1 minute. Beat at medium speed 1 minute. (The dough will be thick.) Stir in baking chips and toasted macadamia nuts.
  4. Drop dough by level tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 12-14 minutes or until set. Let stand 2 minutes on cookie sheets; remove to cooling rack.

Recipe Tips

Want a little variety? Substitute lemon cake mix for the chocolate fudge cake mix.

Rating

Took these to a club meeting, and they disappeared fast. Even the guys who normally don't like white chocolate were pretty enthusiastic about them. They do have a bit of that "cake mix" taste, so I wouldn't recommend making them for a group of particularly refined palates.
