Ingredients

1 (1.9-ounce) package
frozen mini filo dough shells
3 ounces
fresh shiitake mushrooms, finely chopped
2 tablespoons
hoisin sauce
2 ounces
Land O Lakes® Monterey Jack Cheese, cut into 15 (1/2-inch) cubes
1 1/2 ounces (1/3 cup)
Land O Lakes® Monterey Jack Cheese, shredded

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Place shells onto ungreased baking sheet.
  3. Combine mushrooms and hoisin sauce in bowl. Place 1 cube cheese in each shell. Spoon mushroom mixture evenly into shells; sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  4. Bake 5-8 minutes or until heated through. Remove immediately. Serve warm.

Recipe Tips

- The ingredients can be multiplied by 4 to equal 60 appetizers.

- To make ahead, prepare as directed except do not bake. Layer between sheets of waxed paper in a resealable plastic freezer container; freeze. At serving time, heat oven to 350°F. Place desired number of pastry cups onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 12-20 minutes or until filling is hot. Serve warm.

These are a delicious and easy appetizer to take to family parties. I like the Hoisin sauce and the m.j.cheese combination.

I have never used Hoisin sauce before and I never will again. These were awful. Don't waste your money on the ingredients for this recipe.
