Ingredients

1 (12-ounce) package (2 cups)
real semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups
all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons
baking powder
1/4 teaspoon
salt
1 cup
sugar
6 tablespoons
Land O Lakes® Butter, softened
1 1/2 teaspoons
vanilla

large Land O Lakes® Eggs
1/2 cup
powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Microwave 1 cup chocolate chips in medium microwave-safe bowl on HIGH for 1 minute; stir. Microwave at additional 10 to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Cool completely.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in small bowl. Beat sugar, butter and vanilla in large bowl. Beat in melted chocolate. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually add flour mixture. Beat until well mixed (1 to 2 minutes). Stir in remaining chips. Cover; refrigerate just until firm.
  3. Shape dough into 1 1/2-inch balls; roll in powdered sugar. Place onto ungreased baking sheets.
  4. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until sides are set but centers are still slightly soft. Let stand 2 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets.

These cookies came out divinely as well! I am not a huge chcolate-anything lover, but these are delicious. My family knew these cookies by an old-world Italian cookie recipe, and I knew these cookies as a chocolate crinkle cookie. Whatever you call these little delights, they are fudgey and rich and the powdered sugar gives them an added sweetness that makes the sun shine just a little brighter when you eat one...or two...or three...you get the idea!
