Ingredients

Cookie

1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter softened

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1/4 cup sugar

1 large Land O Lakes® Egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup uncooked old-fashioned or quick-cooking oats

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup real semi-sweet mini chocolate chips

Topping

3/4 cup prepared chocolate frosting

5 (1/2 cup) chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed

Decorations

Sandwich cookies or bars, or chocolate-covered graham cracker cookies, if desired

Decorator gel or vanilla candy coating, melted, if desired

Assorted Halloween candy decorations, if desired

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 350°F.

  2. STEP 2

Combine butter, brown sugar and sugar in bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add egg and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed. Add all remaining cookie ingredients except chocolate chips; beat at low speed until well mixed. Stir in chocolate chips.

  3. STEP 3

Spread dough into lightly greased 12-inch pizza pan. Bake 17-20 minutes or until cookie is golden brown on edges. Cool completely.

  4. STEP 4

Spread cookie with frosting; sprinkle with cookie crumbs. Decorate as desired.

Tip #1

- To easily spread cookie dough into pan, spray piece of waxed paper with no-stick cooking spray. Press dough into pan using sprayed side of waxed paper until almost at pan edge (dough will spread while baking).

Tip #2

- Place melted candy coating in a heavy, re-sealable plastic food bag. Cut small hole in corner for use as decorating tip.

Tip #3

- Create tombstones by decorating sandwich cookies with gel or candy coating, as desired. Use other Halloween candy as desired.

My finished graveyard was so good I had to take a couple of photos before anyone tucked in! Great fun to make & very tasty to eat! Thanks for a great idea! Esme x PS Am making another one for our Halloween party on Friday...but couldn't wait 'til then to have a go!
