Ingredients

2 cups frozen green peas

1/4 cup water

1 tablespoon Land O Lakes® Butter with Canola Oil

Salt

Pepper

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Place peas into 2-quart saucepan; add water. Cook over high heat until water boils. Reduce heat to medium. Cover; cook 2-3 minutes or until heated through. Drain.

  2. STEP 2

    Top with Butter with Canola Oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Almond-Studded Peas

Cook peas as directed above. Drain. Meanwhile, melt 2 tablespoons Butter with Canola Oil. Spread in 2-quart saucepan; add 1/4 cup chopped onion. Cook over medium heat until onion is crisply tender. Add cooked peas, 2 tablespoons sliced almonds and 1/2 teaspoon salt; toss to coat peas. Cook until heated through. Top with 1 tablespoon Butter with Canola Oil.

Herbed Peas

Cook peas as directed above. Drain. Meanwhile, melt 2 tablespoons Butter with Canola Oil in 2-quart saucepan; add 1/4 cup chopped onion. Cook over medium heat until onion is crisply tender. Add cooked peas, 1 tablespoon dried basil leaves and 1/2 teaspoon salt; toss to coat peas. Top with 1 tablespoon Butter with Canola Oil.

Dilly Peas

Cook peas as directed above. Drain. Add 3 tablespoons Butter with Canola OIl, 1 teaspoon dried dill weed and 1/2 teaspoon salt; toss to coat peas.
