Variations:
Almond Studded Peas: Cook peas as directed above. Drain. Meanwhile, melt 2 tablespoons Fresh Buttery Taste® Spread in 2-quart saucepan; add 1/4 cup chopped onion. Cook over medium heat until onion is crisply tender. Add cooked peas, 2 tablespoons sliced almonds and 1/2 teaspoon salt; toss to coat peas. Cook until heated through. Top with 1 tablespoon Fresh Buttery Taste® Spread.
Herbed Peas: Cook peas as directed above. Drain. Meanwhile, melt 2 tablespoons Fresh Buttery Taste® Spread in 2-quart saucepan; add 1/4 cup chopped onion. Cook over medium heat until onion is crisply tender. Add cooked peas, 1 tablespoon dried basil leaves and 1/2 teaspoon salt; toss to coat peas. Top with 1 tablespoon Fresh Buttery Taste® Spread.
Dilly Peas: Cook peas as directed above. Drain. Add 3 tablespoons Fresh Buttery Taste® Spread, 1 teaspoon dried dill weed and 1/2 teaspoon salt; toss to coat peas.
