These grilled hamburgers are stuffed with a cream cheese mixture and then topped with Cheddar cheese for the ultimate cheeseburger recipe.

Ingredients

3 ounces
cream cheese, softened
1 (2 1/2-ounce) jar
sliced mushrooms, drained
2 tablespoons
chopped green bell pepper
1/4 teaspoon
garlic salt
1/8 teaspoon
pepper
2 pounds
lean ground beef
8 (3/4-ounce) slices
Land O Lakes® Sharp Cheddar American Blend

Kaiser rolls, cut in half

Directions

  1. Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.
  2. Combine cream cheese, mushrooms, green pepper, garlic salt and pepper in bowl.
  3. Shape ground beef into 8 large (1/2-inch thick) patties. Place about 2 tablespoons cream cheese mixture in center of 4 patties. Top each with 1 meat patty; press around edges to seal.
  4. Place patties onto grill. Grill, turning once, until desired doneness (15 to 18 minutes). Top each burger with 2 slices cheese; continue grilling 1 minute or until cheese is melted. Serve cheeseburgers on rolls.
