2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup sugar

1 tablespoon freshly grated orange zest

1 cup Land O Lakes® Butter


2 large Land O Lakes® Eggs, slightly beaten

3/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup orange juice

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon freshly grated orange zest

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 cup sweetened flaked coconut

1/3 cup finely chopped hazelnuts

Powdered sugar

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 350°F.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine 2 cups flour, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon orange zest in bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Press onto bottom of ungreased 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake 20-22 minutes or until light golden brown.

  3. STEP 3

    Combine all filling ingredients except coconut, hazelnuts and powdered sugar in bowl; mix well. Stir in coconut.

  4. STEP 4

    Pour over hot, partially baked crust. Sprinkle with hazelnuts. Bake 20-25 minutes or until center is set. Cool completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Tip #1

Hazelnuts, also called filberts, are sold with the brown outer skin removed or with it still on the nut. Since the skin has a bitter flavor, look for nuts that already have the skin removed. If you purchase hazelnuts that still have a skin, bake them at 350°F. 10-15 minutes or until the skins begin to flake. Place the warm nuts, a handful at a time, in a clean dish towel and rub to remove most of the skin.
